Ripoff, misdiagnostic, horrible service, dishonest, unhelpful, slimey

I brought my car into Grappone for an oil change, State inspection, and to check to see why the check engine light was on. After spending $200, the only thing that got done was the oil change. And chances are high that was done wrong, too.

Service Advisor, Wayne N* told me I needed a new caliper in order to pass State Inspection. I would have believed him if I hadn't just replaced them 2 months prior. He had no problem telling me that the caliper needed to be replaced, but failed to tell me that I needed a headlight. One would think that would be an obvious check.

I then brought my car to another garage who took the time to do their job and did a thorough check and discovered that in fact I did not need to replace the caliper. There was seepage left from when they were replaced and that was all. There was no leak. Grappone was going to charge me hundreds of dollars to replace this brand new car part.

The one and only reason why I had initially brought my car there was because it was a Mazda dealership. Look where that got me. I now have a perfectly fine running car, and still have money in the bank.

When I picked my car up, Wayne assured me that it was running fine, but to call if I had any other problem. Calling him was no problem, but getting him to return my call never happend.

I have heard before that Grappone had a poor reputation and I would have to say I agree. I will never do business there again and assure that many people will know what poor service they will get. Bad news travels faster than good. I am very disappointed with them.
