Autocool Auto Cool - Merchandiise Direct ripoff, lies about item, item does not work, false advertising

I purchased one of those autocool window fans that is supposed to pull out hot air that build up in your vehicle so your car will not be so hot when you get in it on hot days.

This item does not cool the car down at all. I used 2 different types of thermometers and they both were the same temperature at 2:00 pm when the t.V. Commercial says that 2 identical cars were parked side by side, and the one with Autocool was 75degrees, and the other was 107 degrees. My car was 110 degrees. I really did not expect the car to be 75 degrees, but the insdie temperature of my car was 110 degrees.

I called the company and they offered me a $10.00 credit, but that would have still left them over $10.00 because the item was $15.00 and then shipping and handling was $8 or $9.00. They lied to consumers about this item. It was easy to install, and it does work off of solar power, that is the only things true they said. My car does not have tinted windows, they are just as they were from the factory. The makers of this item will tell you after you buy it it may not work as well on cars with tinted windows. I checked the unit and the fan was working. This is just another to good to be true item. I live in S.C. And it gets very hot here. I hope no one in really hot areas are expecting this thing to give them any relief from entering a hot vehicle. I would have been happy with 85 degrees, but again., the temperature in the car was the same with or witout the autocool unit.

Bottom line, save yourself 2 or 3 months of aggravation and use a winshield vsor, and crack your windows. Park under a carport, or in your garage. This thing will not cool your car 1 degree. I was a idiot for falling for this fraud. Like the saying goes, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.
