Tim Dahle Infinity
Sold a car with serious frame damage, looks like a salvage vehicle ripoff

Cars & Transport

I purchased my car from Tim Dahle infinity the first of December. I bought a 2002 I35 with 3800 miles, looked immaculate, my dream car. I never even bothered looking under the hood since it was supposedly a certified vehicle with an availiable extended service warranty. I paid $900 over the Kelly Blue Book value on it, bringing the total including the extended service warranty, to just under $25000, but since it was exactly what I wanted I didn't mind paying extra.

A few days after I bought it, I noticed the over sized tires were rubbing on the splash guard in sharp turns. Three weeks later on a trip to Cananda I lost control of the car when it drifted onto the shoulder of the freeway, nearly rolling the car and slid into a barbwire fence. After spending almost a month in the shop getting whole car repainted i got it back good as new suposedly.
I tried selling it the first of June and a prospective buyer took it to a shop to get checked out.

He came back telling me the car had been in a fairly serious accident on the front end and that was causing the tires to rub when turning since one was sitting back further than the other. He said he wanted me to lower the price and include the extended service contract in that lowered price. I took the car to the shop where I had the body work done from my accident and they confirmed that the strut tower and subframe of the front of the car starting at the firewall, had all ben removed and replaced prior to my accident.

I took the car to Infinity and asked for a refund, but was told they would not. The General Manager of Tim dahle Infinity said he could not see any damage to the vehicle, yet the Service Manager said he could see where things had been replaced, but stil said there was nothing wrong with the car. Since they wouldn't do anything for me, I sold the car at the discounted price and am now stuck with a $6000 loan paying off the rest of a seemingly salvaged certified Infinity.

I am disapointed and angered that a dealership of that status would even keep a vehicle on their lot in that condition, or try to sell it as a certified vehicle. I will never buy another Infinity or Nissan product, and I will never puchase anything from a dealer again!

I will stick with private buyers from now on since I now see no advantage to purchasing anything from dealers if they cannot gaurentee their work, an honest inspection, or even the car. Tim Dahle Infinity lives up to the reputation of the dishonest used car salesman!

Never buy anything from them unless you want to get ripped off!
