They stole cds out of my car! Ripoff

On the morning of Tuesday, June 6 I took my car to Koons Ford of Annapolis for service. I picked my car up on the evening of June 8. On Saturday morning, June 10 I noticed that two cases of CDs were missing from my car. These two cases help approximately 15 CDs in each.
The manager Mr. Andy Monk told me that his company is not responsible for stolen items. He told me that this is standard policy because they can't prove who stole the items.
Mr. Patrick Shuey, the Vice President of the company wrote the following; "It is absolutely impossible to assume responsibility for the contents of a customer's car as we have well over 1500 unique vehicles visit our service department each month."
This is unacceptable. How can a business assume no responsibility for items stolen out of a vehicle that was under their care? I find Koons Ford of Annapolis responsible for stolen items when they have my car in their possession. It is unreasonable to ask a customer to remove all items from their car in order to receive maintenance or service.
