Car repossessed after 3 years, only 40 days late

BB&T in Whiteville, NC repossessed my car of 3 years after only 40 days had passed.

I had a car that I had been paying on for 3 years, and my husband was laid off work, so we got a payment deferred. Three months later we were late again. I had talked to a particular person several times, the person who handled our account. I told her I did not want to lose the vehicle and I would do anything that I could to make the payment. We had already paid off one 24,000 dollar car loan, so I thought we were good customers. Well, she said that there was nothing we could do or that they were willing to do.

I mean, we were 40 days late! Big deal, right? Right? Well, I could not believe it: in 3 days they came and got my car. I have heard nothing from them since. My advice: don't take anything from BB&T.
