Aka Ugly Duckling ripoff

DriveTime is such a rip-off. I wanted to pay my vehicle off early and I called on a saturday (05/27/06) for a payoff and on Tuesday (05/30/06) I called again and my payoff amount had gone up $200.00.

The first payoff was supposed to be good until June 6. I have gone over all of my paperwork and my payoff should be $2500.00 less than what they say I owe. I tried to pay the vehicle off for the amount truley due, due to the fact that I can no longer afford to make the $340.00 payment amount and they told me they would not except anything less than what there records show. I was told that they didnt care, that they were in the repo buisness anyway.

I am very pissed with them. They make no effort to help anybody after the contract has been signed. They have lied to me and given me the run around. I will not settle for anything less than how I believed this should be handled, even if that means taking them to court and filing a lawsuit.
