My relationship with this company started in 1999. I purchased a 1996 Mazda 626 from Compass in Orange, NJ. Before the end of my first year of ownership the engine had failed. Even though it was covered by a Daimler Chrysler warranty they refused to replace it. The got an arbitraitor to rule that I did not do enough oil changes which was incorrect. The gentleman who I paid to replace my engine told me this should not have happened.
I ended up paying close to $3,000.00 for a rebuilt engine.

In February of this year I authorized the company to takeout approx. $155.00 to pay for the interest in a late payment.

I then authorized the company by phone check to take out the normal payment of 413.00. The company took out $455.32 which caused my checking account to overdraft costing me over $70.00.

They have yet to replace the money even though they claim that the person who did this was reprimanded. They then ask me to pay $372.00 to compensate for the loss. However, it still doesn't add up to what I lost. To this day which is May 14, I am one payment behind. I talked to one of their representatives and she stated that I would not get any more phone calls. Not so.
Over the past couple of weeks I've gotten more than one phone call a day. This includes different customer services reps. Who have continued to call my house leaving harrassing phone messages along with computer generated messages.

I've gotten into arguments with three of the reps. Two threatened to come and get my car which is a 2002 Dodge Carvan that I pay 413.00 a month for So far I've paid close to or over $8000.00 in payments which reflect the fact that I paid off a trade in plus present car payments. I did not realize that they had such a shaky or racist history until I read your report and others where they were sued for racial discrimination.

My next car as you can imagine will not be a car from this company. Many American car companies wonder why they are not selling cars. I recently, dropped their extended warranty which only covers damage to major parts and still has you paying for service visits plus any necessary repairs.
