Laird Noller Ford Of Topeka
Ripoff Bait and Switch Selling Tactics Unethical Business Practices

Cars & Transport

The link above if still active is just an example of Laird Noller Ford and their Bait and Switch Business Practices.

My daughter found this advertisement of a 2005 used ford focus for 1,499. I called the dealership before submitting a carfax qoute on the VIN number suspecting flood damage.instead a salemans told me the price was a misprint but he had another ford focus with the same options, no warranty that was a 2003 at $9.999. I told him I was not interested and asked when the price would be updated on the website. He chuckled and stated his store has had many people coming in and inquiring about the car (duh) and he has attempted to have the price fixed. He gave me the excuse that the website manager would not return his calls... That they haven't responded. It only takes a few seconds to update a webpage. I stated that I believed the advertisment to be a classic bait and switch and that I would be watching the website for an price update. I also notified the better business bureau in North East Kansas.

I guess I take unethical business practices personally.
