Cars & Transport

I went Saturday 4/1 to the Weatherford dealership to look again at their lot for a used vehicle. I had been a couple of Saturdays before and liked the salesman so I thought I'd look and see if they had anything this time that would be suitable. I was shown around the lot but wasn't really impressed with anything except maybe a new car. They were unwilling to talk with me about a new car which was within my budget. I might add that I had already secured my own financing. The sales rep wanted me to drive a Taurus that was on his lot but the key was locked in the vehicle and it took 45 minutes to 1 hour to have it unlocked and then jumped. The car was pretty scratched up and had too many miles on it but I drove it anyway. I opted not to buy the vehicle and thanked him for his time but there was just nothing I wanted and my child was hungry. When I got in my car, he returned with another salesman that wanted me to look at a SUV that had just been turned in as a trade. I went back and thought the vehicle was pretty cute so I said I'd try it. It was on a rack in the back. He wanted to know if I'd buy the car if I liked it. I said Perhaps.

So I went back in the dealership with him waiting for the car to be brought around. I kept seeing the original salesman going out front looking around and in the office but no SUV. The second salesman kept sitting there with me even tho he was not talking to me. Finally, my child still being hungry, I got frustrated and proceeded to leave. The second salesman brought another guy with him wanting to see my loan paperwork. This whole time my original salesman kept looking at me apologetically. He was new with this lot and I felt really sorry for him. This was not about him at all. His name was Troy and he was very nice. I told him no because I hadn't made any choice to purchase. At this time, I was starting to have an mild panic attack. This guy had the nerve to accuse me of wasting his salesman's time and lying to him about this SUV. I told him I had to leave to feed my kiddo and was no longer interested in this SUV. He said I had mental problems and a definite problem with business ethics among other things that I don't really remember as I was so upset. I have never been treated this way as a consumer in my life.
I will tell every single woman I know even the media not to go to that dealership. I was never so insulted and hurt in my life.

I bought another Taurus that evening from another dealership that treated me very nice.
