Ripoff Fraudulent Activity

If you don't have the habit of checking your bank accounts online, now would be the time to do so. I had 2 outrageous charges on my account from this company that I have never even heard of or even set foot in to rent a car. I reported this to their Corporate Office, as the company did not want to help me out. So the corporate office told me that, obviously, the charges on my debit account were fraudulent and that I had to alert the office where some a*hole had gone to rent the car.

So, I called the office in Van Nuys to alert them, and that was that. Meanwhile, I had to dispute the charges with the bank and had to cancel my account and open up a new one over the phone. A week later, I noticed the same charges from the same company on my account. I furiously marched into one of the Washington Mutual branches and had to dispute another fraudulent charge. After FINALLY closing my bank account and opening a new one instantly, I called the Van Nuys Advantage Rent A Car to find out how they had been authorizing someone to rent a car.

They told me that someone had gone in there with my photo ID and my ATM card and rented out a car.
The manager, Raul, was such a fing a*hole to me over the phone and was no help at all. I asked to have the applications faxed over to me so that my bank could take a look at who rented the car, but he would not. He said that I would have to physically come in to take a look at the applications.

Thankfully the bank understood that he was being a prick and cleared the charges on my account. You'd think that after your company has fed up not once, but TWICE, you'd be a little more sympathetic towards a customer who has been a victim of fraud and identity theft, but NO. I have come to the conclusion after speaking to this piece of s*t, that he knows the person whom he helped rent the car, and continues to do fraudulent activity.

This is also the reason why I have not gone into Advantage Rent a Car because of my fear that if this assholes is helping someone to rent out a car, he would know what I look like and what I drive.

Do not EVER rent a car from this company! They have no clue what customer service is!
