Ripoff - bad oil change, left with loose oil filter causing fire the business that doesn't give a dam

My son purchased a new used car in Jan, 02, a 1996 Eagle talon esi turbo. Being a conscientious car owner, he took advantage of a coupon for an oil change at our local chrysler dealer 3 weeks after purchasing his car, not knowing when the last oil change had been.

Two days later, we noticed the car was leaking oil in the driveway, we found the oil filter to be very loose, we had no leaks before this oil change. After tightning it, it was ok for awhile, but became loose again, called the service manager to complain, took it back in for another oil change, and was charged full price. The loose oil filter started again, we called about it again, tightened it up again, twice, and a couple days later, the car caught on fire while my son was driving it.

A mopar certified mechanic friend, who was reluctant to get involved, stated this was a problem with this car, that the service dept. Should have known about this, and that they are known for causing fires from the oil leaking on the exhaust manifold.

River Front has refused responsibility, we are out $6300.00
