Feb My husband and I made our first major purchase a car. We were financed by Arcadia Finacial LTD. We had a high intrest rate but at the time we didnt know better. My husband left for basic training 1/03, there was a mess up in his pay and we fell behind. I contacted Arcadia only to be called a looser that didnt pay my bills. I got no where. I spent the next 2 days trying to find a way to come up with the 264.00 payment. No luck, I recieved a phone call from them demanding payment in 10days. I explained the situation again, told them I had filed my tax return and when I had recived it I would westren union them the payment, it would fall about 45 days behind. Nope not good enough. I was told it would be repoed, I told them there was nothing I could do.
There wasnt. Was I to call the Army and DEMAND money now?

Well No one showed, but the phone calls were 6-8 a day 7 days a week, over the next 3 weeks I didnt even want to awnser my phone because i knew it was them. Then they called my aunt and demanded money from her!

I got my return and called them to tell them I was sending payment... I was told a number of fees I was being charged, Ok I knew that... But I was also told that they were changing my intrest from the 18% I was paying to 29.9% I was being punished for something that was out of my hands. I found that was the way they worked. I told them then to come get the car I was giving it back. 3 months later I was 5 months behind in payments and they finally came to get it.

The repo man was so nice, and he him self told me this company was really bad about screwing people.

Anyways I got a letter statingit sold at auction for 1222.50 and the balance I owed them was 9,726.49.
The original note was for 9,696 after I made a 1000.00 down payment. After 23 payments of 264.00... I have asked this company for 3 years to send me something showing EVERY payment they recieved from me, proof of what it brought at auction, All I get is the run around, I have been yelled at, called names, and cursed at. I am not saying i dont owe something, But I will not pay them more than the original note was. Show me proof and I will pay! To this day they are still calling me at a minimum 4 times a day, and still 7 days a week.

Can anyone give me a suggestion? Do I have the right to ask for this proof? Please any suggestions I would appreciate.

Please do not send a rebuttle tearing me apart and being rude. I have seen so many of these and people become rude and say horrible things, please if thats what your going to do just ignore this post.
