Ripoff

I purchased a 1995 Honda from Mr. Marcus McMillan in September. The Title came back 'Salvage' so I contacted him and he gave me the run-around an entire month before finally deciding to give me my money back.

But when it came time for him to do so, he swore he couldn't because all his money was tied up in the cars he'd purchased to sell. He asked me would I accept a 1996 or 1997 Volvo Wagon instead, as it was worth more (about $300, he claimed) than the Honda—which turned out to be not true at all.

Anyhow, he told me that if the Volvo caused me any problems within 6 months of the trade, he'd take it back, give me my $900
back, and that would be the end of it.
Well, as you may have guessed, the Volvo caused me major probs— in fact, it stopped running entirely, and when I contacted Mr. McMillan re: this, he beat around the bush until he got me off the phone, and after that he never responded to my calls nor my emails nor my written pleas to him.

I would advise anyone in her/his right mind not to purchase a vehicle from this unscrupulous man—who, by the way, graduated from Piedmont Bible College and professes to be a 'Christian'— just take your money and find Joel of Yadkinville, get a used car from him. He tells you if there's anything wrong with his cars, and while he sells them 'as is', I bought a 1999 white Mitsubishi Mirage from him and have had no serious probs with it, only that I have to start it in Neutral sometimes. Joel works for Josten's Yearbook in Winston-Salem and won't try to crap you the way Mr. Marcus McMillan crapped me. But never again... in fact, I plan to post warning signs about Thoroughbred Auto Brokers all around Forsyth County so that no one else will be taken in the way I was in 2004.
