Ripoff

Gentleman,
I am a North Carolina resident whom used Jiffy Lube to change the oil and check transmission and differential fluid in a 1985 Chevy 4X4 truck. I traveled 20 miles to a Greenville Jiffy Lube for the work on 12-23-05 December of last year. I ask about their differential lube charge and they replied it would be an additional charge. I paid for the service and went on my way.
In January 1-5-06 I was driving to work when the truck suddenly came to a stop position. I heard a loud squeaking noise, stopped and didn't move it. I didn't have a clue what would cause this but did check the driveshaft and at the rear it was very hot to touch. I waited for it to cool and took it to a shop where the rear cover was removed. When the cover was taken off no fluid came out at all, it was sludge, no oil. I looked further and saw the drain or fill nut had never been removed.

I called Jiffy Lube the service center where the work was performed and they told me on the back of the receipt was a 800 number to call for claims.
I called the number and spoke to an adjuster named John, he told me not to do anything to it and rent a car until we found the cause.

Today 1-12-06 I got a call from John the Jiffy Lube Adjuster and he told me the truck was to old and the failure was from lack of maintenance. I told him the only lack of maintenance was the little box on the receipt that's says differential level OK. Because of this I now have a mechanic bill to pay for their inspector to come look at it, a rental car to pay for and a broke truck because they didn't do the work they charged me for. The rear differential and all the bearings suffered from lack of oil (Jiffy Lube receipt claimed to be OK) The bill total will come to about $ 1,500. Oo all included without Lawyer expenses.
Can I get some help?
