Bait and switch on premiums, illegal undisclosed cancellation fee

I recently moved from california to Arizona. When I changed my policy with esurance, I was first quoted a fee of $300,50% more than my fee in CA. I had asked for the minimum legal coverage. My policy then was started at a fee of $340 (bait and switch; no reason or notification provided). I had asked for a monthly payment plan and was charged for 2 months right away and then another $63 just three weeks later. Upon checking my policy, I saw they had charged me for 25/50 bodily harm, when the state minimum is 15/30.

So I cancelled my insurance with the company and was informed that they will be charging me a cancellation fee of $50. I inspected my policy documents closely and no where in these documents is this fee disclosed. Since I was not made aware of said fee, I never agreed to consent to such a fee.

I have consulted the Arizona Department of Insurance website and a legal advice website. It appears that they cannot charge such a fee unless it was disclosed and agreed in advance by both parties. At this time, the company is just stonewalling me. If this fee is not reversed, I will be filing a formal complaint against esurance with the state of Arizona. If the fee is reversed, I will edit this complaint to reflect that.
