Dishonest cheating scam credit inflating financing

Cars & Transport

Allow me to explain how I came to do business with these people. I had a 2001 Mazda that I bought in Texas before i came over to the island. After paying for it for a while, I wanted to see if I could get rid of the truck and free up some more money. At this time I still owed over $11,000 on the Mazda.

So I look online at this dealership and they claim that they can take care of vehicles that are owed money on. So I drive down there one day and talk to them, telling them that I am looking to get rid of my Mazda, free up some money. They ask me would I want another vehicle and I told them only if it's cheaper.

So I look around at different vehicles, find one I like, a 1995 chevy truck. We start talking, and we get to the negotiating table. They want 9 grand for the truck, but I try to talk them down to 7. This goes on.

In the end, I believe that I will be paying 9 grand on a chevy truck, but that they will take care of the payments on the Mazda as long as I cancel the extended warranty to send 2 grand to Chase bank.

I have my specialist look at my contract and he finds that I owe 12 grand on the truck, 350 dollars a month for 36 months, plus a wierd little down payment schedule.

November rolls around and I come home sunday from staff duty to find $289.36 yanked outta my bank account from (guess who) Chase Bank. Needless to say I was spun into a dimension of angry that I have never been in before in my life. What money I had been saving to clear out my insurance payment was now gone because they didn't take over my truck.

So as I sit in the Army Community Service office to see about the dealership taking my truck back since I will not starve for a truck, we dig into my contract to find out that I will be paying $350.00 a month for the next 60 months along with the 3 grand wierdo down payment plan. That equates to 24,000 dollars for a truck worth a little under 8,000.

Another note to this is that my interest rate (Which when I got the Mazda was 9.5% hands down) was an unbelievable 22.9% rate, which gave me a financing cost of over $8000! What the hell happened to my credit? It didn't get flushed in a couple months to warrant that kind of treatment!

These people prey on the people and I believe they prey especially on service members stationed on the island. I from now on will not hesitate to tell everyone to have no business with them and to tell everyone around them.

Stay away from these people completely and warn others as well. A-1 Auto is no place to do business with!
