Saturn Of West Dade Agreed to sell me car, then refused and sold it for more to someone else Ripoff

Cars & Transport

I keep seeing Saturn advertising based on great customer service. My experience with Saturn however was completely different.

Some months ago I walked into the Saturn of West Dade dealership in Miami, FL. I saw a car and liked it. The salesman said it would cost me $3,000 out-the-door. He mentioned the car had a noise in the engine that they would repair. I agreed to the price and sat down to sign the papers.

A hour later the same salesman told me the price had increased to $3,300 and that I would have to repair the noise in the engine. Although this was unfair, I wanted the car I agreed to this change.

An hour later a manager told me that the sale was off, that they would not sell me the car, no matter the price, and gave me no explanation or alternatives. I told him I had wasted a lot of time at the dealership and we had agreed on everything. He said he didn't care and left. I left.

I contacted Saturn Customer Service, expecting Saturn to solve the situation, and was told that each dealership is responsible for their actions. This means that Saturn makes nice nationwide commercials for the "Saturn" brand, but when there is a problem THE DEALERSHIP IS RESPONSIBLE.

If a company bases it publicity of customer service, it should be reflected on the way customers are treated.
