I ordered and paid for parts, they put them on the shelf and would not release them to me, ripoff!

Today is Thursday. This past Saturday I went into Auto Zone to order some parts needed to fix my cousin's car, I was told they would be there the next day ready for me to pick up. I called the next day and the parts, of course, were not there. I called on Monday and the parts were not there, and again on Tuesday with the same answer. Finally on Weds. I asked to speak to a manager, her name was Kathryn, she got on the phone and immediately asked for the part number;

I didn't have the part number right in front of me, and told her so and she immediately said there was nothing that she could do without a part number and hung up the phone.

Needless to say I was very angry!!! I called back and asked for her once again, telling her that I could give her the name and the telephone number and she repeatedly was telling me that she had to have the part number, (which I have ordered parts there NUMEROUS times and know that this is not the case)

I was getting irate and she kept hanging up on me!!! She would not let me finish speaking nor give her the name and telephone number to look up the parts. The 5th time I called back a guy answered the phone, I pretended to be a first time caller and told him I wanted to see if my parts were in, He immediately asked for my telephone number, I gave it to him and he said, yes they are here. They have been here since Sunday!!!

My cousin then proceeded to call just to verify that everything would be fine for us to pick up the parts, the guy told her that everything was there, everything was fine, and we could pick up the parts, she asked him to put my name on the parts, and asked if there would be any problems in me picking them up in the morning, he said "NO, no problem at all"

When we went in this morning to pick up the parts, "Kathryn" was there, and refused to give us the parts! She then proceeded to argue with me, saying that when I called the night before I was totally rude, and I rebutted, "and you were equally rude." She then proceeded to try and give me examples of how I had been rude,

Finally my girlfriend had to speak up and say, "Hey Enough! Are you going to give us the parts or not? If not you need to tell us what we need to do in order to pick up the parts instead of trying to prove who was the rudest!" That shut her up for the moment, but said that she would have to get my cousin on the phone again to make sure I was able to pick up the parts for her, (even though she was the one that took the order to begin with, my cousin told her I would be picking up the parts, AND my name was wrote on the box with permanent marker!)

I was very dis-satisfied with the service there, and work for two different auto repair company's and run my own auto repair company and have to tell you that I will never send any of my business to Auto Zone again. (Their competitor) will 60% of the time order you the wrong part, but at least they have a little knowledge of customer service!

Oh yeah, by the way, while I was waiting for her to get my cousin on the phone, I seen two different employees pulling up ordered parts for customers with only there name and telephone number!!!
