Sold bad 2006 Mercedes ML 350 and refused to accept responsibility RIPOFF

I purchased a 2006 ML 350 from this dealer on 8/20. On 8/26 the car would not start and according to the Mercedes Benz technician, it was clearly a bad transmission and he apologized profusely and said he would dispatch a tow truck. When the tow truck guy got there, he ripped the gear shift stick off, took a screw driver and jambed it into the steering column, went under the seats and went under the hood to do I don't know what.

I called roadside to document what had happened and the dispatcher talked to the driver. Roadside also told me that they are required to bring the vehicle to the closest dealer, and since I was in Manhattan, that would be Mercedes of Manhattan. I asked that they bring it to Freehold, they said they could not. The technician said my dealer would reimburse for any travels over the weekend. I rented a vehicle that cost me $120 for the day.

I called David Michael over the weekend and after numerous calls to customer assistance and to my sales rep, I finally got a call back from the Freehold, and he says that he was still not doing anything for me. I told him that that sounds to me like a MB purchased at his dealership should only be driven in the immediate area because god forbid it breaks down, even if it is a factory defect, they do not care. He said "yes". There is something seriously wrong with this picture... I did not buy a $45,000 car to be left without transportation after a week!
