Incorrect return address, odometer readings and customer service RIPOFF

I'm happy to get back home to Finland after terrible trip in the US. Thanks for Budget Truck rental.

Need to haul some household stuff from Flint, Michigan to New Jersey Harbor thru Baltimore, Maryland.

Rented moving truck from Budget truck rental with limited 850 miles and returning place they gave was in Jamaica, NY, because I had a flight back to Europe from JFK.

On my way from Baltimore to New Jersey I was wondering high miles on odometer and think to check that using milemarkers on the highway. Don't know which is wrong milemarkers or odometer, but after 100 miles by milemarkers, odometer read was 105 miles, so there was 5% more miles than should be.

Distance of my trip was very close to that 850 miles what was included for that contract, but thanks of that 5% more in odometer now I have to pay extra miles which I didn't even drove. Customers service didn't pay much attention of that, because it's just 5%, but if you count all rentals they make and how many pays extra miles, it's a lot of money in a year.

But that wasn't all that Budget Truck rental did wrong, they also gave me wrong return address for that truck. Their customer service also gave me that same address when I called and ask new returning address, but there was only note on the fence that said: "Don't leave Budget trucks here, we're not Budget dealer anymore".

So, check-in time for my flight back home from JFK was too close to try to find new returning dealer in New York area, because my time schedule was calculated by those information that Budget gave me when I rented that truck. There was still one day left on the contract to return the truck, so quick call to my friend in New York who promised to come to JFK airport and drive that truck to some Budget Truck rental dealer.

But even this wasn't enough, someone has reported suspicious truck at the parking lot in the airport and when my friend went there to get truck returned, he got police escort to another Budget dealer that didn't want to take that truck, because original contract says that it should be returned to that dealer whose name and address written to that contract.

My friend wasn't very happy of that, so he left the truck there anyway and lock the doors and leave the keys inside the truck.

Budget Truck rental customer service wasn't interested what happends, if I miss my flight, didn't promise to cover any extra miles, or new flying tickets or even wasn't interested why I'm complaining incorrect odometer readings, so I had to pay extra miles, which I didn't even drove.

So, please careful about those limited miles and all information renting companies give to you, they don't care if they make mistake, You should know correct return addresses and incorrect odometer readings yourself!
