NM Attorney General Complaint Ripoff

Our car was "repaired" in Albuquerque, with a $99.98 job ultimately costing nearly $600, and a few days later the brakes failed. Our 17 year old son was broadsided, and it's only through divine intervention that he escaped serious injury or death.

I was shocked to read the hundreds of complaints about Just Brakes detailing stories exactly like ours from all over the country: A corporate policy of encouraging fraud through bait and switch tactics which not only defraud honest people but endanger innocent lives. And, it was so bad in Florida that officials staged a sting operation in Tampa Bay revealing this company's criminal culture. Even Just Brakes' own employees attest to the vile ethics of the company. A few measly bucks are evidently more important to this company than a young life.

Our car was comprehensively insured, and our insurance company is now performing a forensic engineering operation to pinpoint the cause of brake failure, to be followed by legal action against this corrupt organization. I followed this with a complaint to the Attorney General and plan to file a separate civil action.

I'm stunned that a company like this is allowed to stay in business. Why doesn't someone file a class action lawsuit??
