Ripoff How Tire Kingdom steals from their employees!

I am an employee at a Merchants Tire and Auto location in Virginia, and in May, became eligable for health coverage under the company plan. So I filled out my paperwork and submitted it at the location where I work. Several months pass and here I am in August with no coverage. I was out of the country on vacation for most of July, but fell ill after returning home the first week of August.

I need to go see a doctor, and called Human Resources to make sure that everyting was submitted and proper before making an appointment. To my dismay, they tell me that they have nothing on record for me in the way of heathcare forms. They were submitted back in March, so I figure they must be there. They tell me they will look and get back to me when they find them. I make an attempt to go into work the next day and discover the paperwork still in store! It was never sent! Unbelievable!

So it was faxed into HR by another employee. They say they will call me and let me know. They don't call back, so I try again today, and am told that they can set me up with a policy today. Great, I'm thinking that all I have to do is say yes and they will put in the papers and I can finally see a doctor for this bug. But the woman on the phone tells me that in order to get me covered is to pay almost $300.00 in back fees!

I was shocked and thought that perhaps she did not understand what had happened, so I went over the whole deal with her. But, no, I still have to pay $300.00 to fix what these morons screwed up in the first place! I demanded to talk to a supervisor and was told that I could not and that the decision was final.By now, I'm seething at the way these criminals are trying to take advantage of my sticky situation! I tried once more to get her to let me talk to someone higher up, but again she would not allow me to, and was promptly hung up on.

Tire Kingdom is a group of greedy worms whose only goal is making money. Treating customers, as well as employees fairly is very low on their list of priorities. I will not be sticking around much longer, as when they fail to change this trend of mistreatment, I want to watch them fall flat on their faces! I SHOULD NOT have to pay for someone elses mistakes!
