Changed Our Paperwork And Forged Our Signatures! Lowlife Salesman, Corrupt Sales Manager, Arrogant (since-fired) General Manager, RIPOFF

If you are thinking of making a purchase here STOP!!! Please read the rather lenghthy reson below. Sorry, but it is necessary to explain.

In June I purchased a 6 month old 2001 Sport Trac from the used auto department of Westway Ford. The transaction went smooth and I THOUGHT everything was fine.in October of ny tags were up and I called the dealership to inquire if my TT&L included a new registration and how to get it.

During the course of the conversation with the lady in the accounting department, I figured out that the numbers on the paperwork she had and the numbers on the paperwork I had in front of me were not the same, even though we were both supposed to be looking at my invoice.

I asked her to fax me a copy of what she was looking it, which she did, and I'm sure regretted doing so later. What I found was APPALLING! (This is where it gets a bit confusing) Westway had submitted a different version of a sales reciept to my financing company (I had a check from Capital One) than the sales reciept I had.

The bottom line numbers where the same, but everything in between was not. Basically what they did was inflate my sales tax amount on my paperwork by about $800.00, and then on the paperwork they submitted to the finance company they showed me buying an ezxtended warranty for the same $800.00!

So they were paid an extra $800.00 from Capital One which I'm sure went into the salesmans pocket. Through research I found the name of the warranty company and called and asked if it showed I purchased a warranty and they said yes... On an 83 Mustang!!!

So apparently, Westway registered a bogus warranty, on a car I never owned and pocketed the money! Not only did they do this, but worse yet, they FORGED my mine and my husbands signatures on the paperwork they submitted to the finance company AND I HAVE COPIES OF ALL OF THIS!!!

I contacted the General Manager who basically just asked me what I wanted him to do about it, that it was just a simple "mistake". He was the most rude, condescending person I have EVER dealt with.

After 8 months, a visit to the police department and an attorney, I finally received my $800.00 back, but never an apology. As far as I'm concerned, I should have been compensated for my time and trouble.

To this day, I cannot pass Westway without cussing the sleazballs. Please never, never purchase anything from these rip-offs!!!
