VW Credit
Did not honor Lease agreement for trade with non-VW dealer, ripoff

Cars & Transport

When trading our 2001 VW jetta in for a new Mitsubishi, we were shocked to find that VW has a seperate pay-off amount for a trade-in. Their justification is that the lease agreement is between VW credit and the customer, and not with the dealer that is taking the trade in, therefore than can qoute any price they choose in that situation.in our particular case, the difference in price was over $1000.00 more which completely soured an otherwise good car buying experience.
