My vehicle was surging at highway speeds (60 - 70 MPH) and while idling, so I took it to Eddie Accardi Chevrolet to have it repaired. First, it was more than a week before it was looked at. My service advisor finally called me and said it was definitely the transmission and could they change the fluid before they send it to the transmission shop because that may fix the problem.

I agreed since I am not a mechanic and it sounded right to me. Several days later, I received another call and was told the mechanic had tried to test drive my vehicle, but the radiator had "Exploded" in the parking lot, and now that too must be replaced. Of course, imagining a huge hole with a bright green waterspout on the front of my truck, I again agreed.

Two days later, I was called and told my truck was fixed and that the radiator was actually what was causing my truck to surge and idle rough. I picked it up, left a check for 600 dollars and drove home at less than 45 mph. A week later, while on the interstate on my way to work, I actually did not think this truck would make it the 60 mile trip and may have to be towed. It ran worse than when I originally took it to them. When I stopped and looked under the hood, the first thing I noticed was the transmission dipstick laying across the radiator, next I noticed the distinct lack of any staining from anti-freeze where the radiator had "Exploded" mere days ago.

It occurred to me then that perhaps this company was not being entirely truthful with me, nor had they actually fixed the problem. I was fairly certain that they actually had absolutely no idea what was even wrong with the vehicle. That day, I stopped payment on the check and tried to call the company. I left messages and was avoided until I went to see the service manager. I actually got to see the asst. Manager, who was very pleasant and really did seem to care.

Unfortunately, the service advisor I had took a 180 degree personality change and insisted I was at fault. I was told I was responsible for the charges that I had incurred thus far and that they would happily fix my vehicle again if I would just bring it in. To me, this is tantamount to bringing a car in for tires, getting a paint job instead, and being forced to pay for it while being told you can now get tires. I informed them I was not going to pay for someone to "Guess" what was wrong and make me pay for the incorrect guesses. This company has now reported me to a collection agency for a bounced check and argues with me when I tell them a stop payment was placed on the check. Hopefully, they will resort to a court of law. I eagerly await my day in court.
