Ripoff! Failure to Honor 50,000 mile warranty

I bought a VW Jetta Diesel, 5-speed turbo in July. The care came with a 50,000 mile warranty on the engine. The engine completely blew out at 40,000 miles and the manufacture would not repair it. They made me personally pay $6300 out of pocket to repair the engine. The car new only cost $19,000.

I have never had a car where the manufacturer flat out refused to honor its warranty. This is outrageous.
