Jiffy Lube stores add an environmental surcharge of $1 to $2 to the bill. Across millions of customers, that's a lot of money. Jiffy Lube presents the charge as a tax so the customer won't complain about it. It's not a tax.

According to this article, Jiffy Lube was sued for millions of dollars for sticking people with this surchargre.
