I bought a 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse from a private party. The money I paid for the car also paid the car off. I got temporary plates from DMV while waiting for the title to mailed[20-30 days] from the finance company. I was driving the car down the highyway, and the balljoint broke causing me to skid uncontrollably across three lanes of traffic, then ending up in a ditch. Had car towed home, car sat for a few weeks, title came in, so I decided to get it back on the road.

I assesed the damage to the car - balljoint, tire, C/V boot, ripped bumper cover. A friend had told me he had a car just like it, and there was recall on his balljoints. So I called GIRARD MITSUBISHI, and they said that my car did need the recall performed. I told them it had already broke and the car's temp plates had expired, he said if I got the car registered they would fix EVERYTHING that got damaged from the accident.

I was short on money, but got the car registered permenantly. I called them to let them know that the car was all set to come and pickup, he then told me that they wanted NOTHING to do with my car, because they suspect I was driving the car unregistered. So now I have a car that is registered and insured, but cannot drive. Do not trust girard mitsubishi for anything!!!
