I took my car to Three Brothers Car Repair and Transmission for a complete tune-up, oil change, and a new fuel filter. I was charged (and paid) $270. I have used this shop before, and other than high prices, had no real problems.
When I got my car back, it stalled out on the way home and I had to be pushed the last 5 blocks. The next morning, I discovered something dripping after I started the car. Upon opening the hood, I realized there was gasoline coming through the valve cover.
I left the car at home, went to work, and called Paul at the shop. He told me that wasn't supposed to happen, and I should bring the car in. I asked would he tow it in for free or at least check it out for free since I had just spent almost $300 and it wasn't a whole 24 hours later. He said no, nothing is free.
He maintained that any problem I was having had absolutely nothing to do with his shop, and wouldn't even consoder looking at my car for free. I have since had the car repaired elsewhere at an extensive cost, but I think everyone should know what kind of rip-off artist this company is.
