Ripoff

We are also having trouble with this company. Lots of things they don't inform you of. Daily charges for late payments, hidden charges. As well as if they do a defferment it is adding an outrageous balloon payment to the end of the account which we were not made aware of.

We financed a 1992 pickup $12,000 apx. We have been making payments of $396.00 for almost 5 yrs. Yes we have gotten behind but caught up (husband was a truck driver) and is now dying, stage IV metastatic colon cancer balance owing is $6266.00 plus whatever the hidden balloon payment equals..

Unfortunatly the truck is our only means of transportation to and from my husband's chemotherapy as we are in a rural area. There was an option given to me by one of Arcadia's reps. Saying it was possible for them to write if off and we keep the vehicle..

We have paid well over $20,000 at this point and if were able to continue paying will have paid well over $30,000 for a $12,000 vehicle the fair market value of this truck is appx.$1,500-$3,000 at this time.

Something just doesnt seem right with their contract or pratices.

I have requested a copy of my original contract from them several times and the actual payoff. They have not responded nor have they faxed the info I requsted. Seems odd they are SO diligent in demanding payment but extremely lax in cooperating when they are asked for something. As well as they can be, depending on who you get, extremley hateful and hurtful and in a personal manor rather than professional/business. Ie attacking personally ones credibility regardless of circumstances. I have had this happen on numerous occasions..

I certainly hope there are others out there. Willing to step forward. Anyone, with the know - how to take these people on??
