Just Brakes
Assistant Manager Eric They tried to get me to pay almost $700 for new brake pads!

My brake pads were getting thin and the little metal foot on them was causing a loud squeeking sound. I was worried that my routers were shot, too. I took my car to Just Brakes for the bargain they advertised that would replace old pads and/or shoes for less than $100.

After looking over my car they determined that is was absolutely unsafe to drive... The cylinders were leaking, there was friction, etc. Basically they said if I didn't get everything done that they suggested, that my brakes could go out at any moment. When I asked them how much they though it would cost me, they told me $688 and change. I was obviously in disbelief because my car was not leaking anything I had noticed, everything was running fine, and even though the brakes were squeeking, they could stop on a dime.

After arguing with the Just Brakes mechanics to let me take my car home, I went to get a second opinion. The place I went to next said everything Just Brakes had told me was garbage. He replaced my front brake pads and tightened my shoes and charged me only $106.26.

Just Brakes seem like a disgrace to mechanics. That is why other mechanics get bad reputations... From places like that who try and take advantage of worried customers.
