Gilani auto was negligent and fraudulent with my car repair

I was rear-ended on the Kennedy (October) and brought my car to Gilani for repair. Their original estimate indicated the need to repair the left quarter panel, trunk, and bumper ($2,314). I assumed they had completed the repairs as indicated in the estimate. 1 year later, my car was parked on the street and apparently had been bumped in the same left, rear side by a car that was parallel parking. The rear bumper damage appeared exactly the same as it did following the original accident in 2011. Following inspection of the car by my insurer’s mechanics, I was told that the left rear quarter panel had never been repaired from the original accident.in addition, the damage to the left rear quarter panel from the original accident made the car unsafe to drive currently, since the car would not have any way to absorb the impact of another rear-end collision. This assessment was verified by 2 other independent mechanics. Gilani auto did not perform the work as described in the bill they submitted to me. Further, Gilani’s work had created additional damages totaling $5,500 that I am now responsible for paying. After presenting this information to Gilani (testimonials from independent mechanics and photos), they refused to either do the work properly or pay me back the $2,490.20 that was paid to them for their work. Despite their refusal, both the mechanic (Edward) and the owner (Sean) did admit that they did not perform the work as described in their bill. Gilani has left us no other option than to try to recover our loss through legal means.
