Ruined my brakes! Ripoff

Back in September, I noticed that my brakes were making a real bad grinding noise, so I took my car into Brake Check. They took a look at it first and told me that my brakes needed several things done, which brought my total to be close to $400.00! Thinking that they are the "specialists" I paid them to do the work. Whatever it took to get the problem fixed. Anyway, after two weeks this annoying noise kept occurring.

My car was always screeching no matter how fast or slow I traveled. I took my car back in and they said that nothing was wrong. "Sometimes brakes do that when they are new, give it another week... It should stop" they said. Well, it never did. The problem got worse and grinding started to reoccur! I called them again stating that weeks had passed and that the problem is still going on.

They said that depending on how the brakes were manufactured, (with more dust than others) some brakes will screech and some will not, but it still was not a problem. So I said "screw this!" and took my car to an independant mechanic. He took one look at my brakes and said "Brake Check did a shitty job on your brakes".

He said that the job they did ruined the roters (they never even turned them) and all my brakes were ruined. I've talked to several people and they each say the same thing... Never take your car to brake check!
