Enterprise Rent-A-Car is a Rip-off! They lie and over charge!

On October 23, I had to put my car in the Saturn of Lewisville's shop for transmission problems and a couple of other problems. I had to get a rent car that day as this is the only transportation I have. My husband is disabled and on social security. We have no other transportation as my husband's truck is a farm truck and has a low mileage inspection sticker. I am the sole provider income wise for my family.

Saturn of Lewisville set up and took me over to the Enterprise right down from their shop. Now with my husband being disabled I had already told them I needed a car similar to mine (a 4 door and similar size, I have a saturn sl1) so he can get in and out easily. I had to give them my debit card so they could run a $50 through for a deposit. I was told I would get it back when I returned the car.

We then go out to look at which car would be the best and they only have a very small 2 door car or a 4 door Honda CRV which they want to charge my an extra $5.00 per day for. I tell them that I had already spoke to them and Saturn and they were to have a car similar to mine for me. On top of that I was told by the Enterprise staff that was assisting me that my issuance would not cover the vehicle if I was to have a wreck. It would only cover the other person so I would need the insurance.

I told him that I did not think that was correct and I was pretty sure my insurance would cover it but he insisted. This was on a friday. On Monday I called my insurance and found out I was right I directly called Enterprise and complained about the false information I was told. They instructed me to go by the nearest branch and they would take it off and that is what I did. When I turned the car they told me that the warranty company was only paying for 3 of the 10 days of the rent car. I told them that I had already spoke with Saturn and that Saturn has said they were picking up the rest.

They took me to Saturn and took my receipt to go and talk to the manager while I paid my deductible on my car. I waited for the Enterprise lady to get my receipt back but she had already left. I went down to their shop but they had already closed. I waited a couple of days and when I did not get the refund of my deposit I called thier office and inquired about my refund. They told me that the Warranty picked up 3 days and Saturn picked up 4 days but I still owed for 4. I told them this was not so and that Saturn had stated they were picking up the rest of the 10 days that the Warranty did not pick up. They said they would inquire.

I request a copy of stuff that they had keep. They said they would fax it to me. They did not. I called the next day and was again told the same thing. I then called Saturn and finally another PO was issued for the rest of the days. Then on November 17, Enterprise went ahead and sent a debit through my account for $172.95. This caused 3 checks to bounce and be returned and my bank to charge me $30.00 for each of those for a total of $90.00. I am still waiting to see what the merchants will charge me. Enterprise says they have refunded $90 to me but I still have not received any money from them.

I do not understand how they have my $50 dep plus the $172.95 and I am only getting back $90. I called and requested a complete itemized statement and all they sent me was a page showing a refund of $90.00. They say I owe for the 3 days of the insurance and refuse to take that off even though I told them what their staff did and that I owe for 3 days and who knows what else. My bank does not show they ever got any refund from them. With all this I now do not have the money for my car payment for this month. Plus they still have not given me an itemized statement.
