Vti transmission

Saturn had built a transmission called a vti which does not shift like a normal transmission. It is made in Szentgotthard, Hungary. Saturn has stopped production of this transmission because they were not holding up under normal driving conditions. I've had my saturn transmission replaced once and it has gone out again. Now Saturn wants $6,000 dollars to replace it. They offered me $2,500 on a trade in. I still owe $8300 on the 2004 Vue. So they want me to have $14,300 in a $2,500 automoblie. Does this sound right
