Oldsmobile Ripoff! Sold a used car which was defective and refused to honor warranty or provide a refund! Glenolden

Our daughter bought a used car from Meissner Chevrolet in Philadelphia. She received a 30 day warranty and was told the car had been inspected by Meissners service center. Within a few days, she began having problems, one which was a safety concern. She returned the car to Meissner for service (after fighting with them) and they supposedly repaired the car.

A few days after getting the car back, it began smoking and we discovered there was some kind of fluid all over the engine. We fought with Meissner again to repair the car & they had it towed to their service center. Apparently the first repair was a band aid which backfired (this explained the smoking fluid). They informed us that they were not going to repair it. They couldn't give the car back, it was inoperable, and so we asked for a refund.

They initially refused the refund but after more fighting they finally agreed. The problem was getting the money back. No one would call us back so that we could arrange to refund. We finally had to go to their showroom on a busy Saturday afternoon and insist on the money. After the refund was given we requested that our daughter be able to get her belongings out of the car. We were stunned to discover that the car was not available. It was in Glenolden on their used car lot, repaired and for sale!
