Firehouse Subs
In my opinion I was a victim of discrimination and harrassment

After going to this Firehouse Subs in Largo, Florida for years, I was asked for I.D. When I wanted to use my credit card to pay for our food purchase. This is the first time I have ever been asked for I.D. For a credit card purchase at a restaurant! I watched other customers order and pay with their credit cards. None were asked for their I.D.'s I asked to talk with the manager. The manager turned out to be the woman employee who asked for my I.D. I questioned why I was the only customer asked for I.D. And she stated that "she will have to get on the other employees to ask for I.D. Because it was company policy." She went on to say that they were supposed to check I.D. Because of "credit card fraud risk." It seemed clear to me that this employee was simply discriminating against me. You see I had trouble hearing her and understanding her when she was taking my order. As a result I politely asked her to repeat what she was saying. I think she "copped an attitude" as a result. Also, I did not recognize any of the employees who were working there. When we entered the place they did not do their usual "Welcome to Firehouse" greeting—just silence. I will not go to Firehouse Subs again.
