Unprofessional - Service/Manage

I went to lunch with a co-work of mine. We went to McDonalds, because it is right beside our place of employment. Palomar Center Lexington, KY 40513. My co-worker is deaf, the young girl that took her order had remembered us from before and knew that Hillary (co-worker) had to read her lips. Hillary places her order, paid, and took her cup to fill it with Tea. Meanwhile, the MOD, called out her order, that it was ready. The young lady who waited on Hillary told her that she needed to Wait until she turned around so she could read her lips. At this time the MOD VERY LOUDLY said "well if she deaf, what in the Hell is she doing working for Walmart?". I couldn't believe that she had said that! I did at this time place my hand on the counter and said, how rude, Do you think because she deaf she can't work or do anything, she's not stupid, what is your problem? And the manager responded by saying oh you work there too?

Really are you telling me that this is OK and you let this happen in your Restaurants? Hillary did contact the other Manager and he responded by saying sorry, we will deal with it!!! Really is that all she gets for being treated like this?
