What is behind the KFC "free meal" coupon?

I feel that KFC mislead the customers with the false advertisement. I understand that, because of the "overwhelming demand" they denied to give the offer... in this economy KFC should NOT be surprised that the demand is overwhelming, in fact it should have been prepared for the big crowd!

What made me report this is, I went to the local KFC 5! Days AFTER the promotion day, and they were still unable to offer the free meal... However the meal was available! WHY?

To have customers fill the form with all their personal information, such as address, name, etc. So that they can sell it? Easy way to get millions's information, by giving away a $3.99 worth meal.

AND... The customers go to the KFC, finding out that the meal is not available, so this way they are "forced" to spend their money there.

Not me! Even when I went there with my kids and they were extremly disappointed, I was still able to resist, as I was very disappointed and decided NOT to go there anymore. Hope others did the same.

Very disgraceful promotion!
I believe the whole issue is worth a report to the Consumer Protection Division of the office of the Attorney General in KY, AND call for an action suit.
