Upon a google search of local bagel companys to bring a batch of fresh baked goodies to a company breakfast, I located Old New York Bagel Co and Noah's Bagels. I decided to try the family owned and operated Bagel company since I've been to a Noah's in the past. I found on their website a menu which had a nice variety and even listed the price. I even found that they offered a 10% coupon if I signed up on their email list. So far it sounded great. But the experience was not!

I found the location fairly easily and was impressed with the decor and layout of the store. I was overwhelmed to the amount of different items they had on the menu. I decided to order the Dozen bagels and tub a cream cheese and let the cashier pick the different varieties. I ordered a large coffee for myself, gave the coupon to the cashier, paid the bill and left.

After leaving I decided to look over my receipt. The numbers did not make sense to what I was calculating in my head. I found that on the receipt I had been overcharged (per the website) on the dozen bagels. Website listed $7.99 and I was charged on my receipt $8.99. I also noticed that I did not receive a full 10% off my complete order.

I immediately emailed the owners of New York Bagel company to explain what happened and express my sincere dissapointment. I received a response from a "Michael" that seemed less than sincere. He explained that the website must have a old menu on it and that the computer is not programmed to give 10% off on the Dozen bagels. He did not offer any type of reimbursement or other gratuities.

Now I'm not bitter about the $1.80 that I am out on this, I am mad that Michael said he would fix these problems ASAP and here it is a week later and the website is exactly the same! So it is apparent that customer service is not a priority in this company. Although I did enjoy the bagels, I will not be back to this company again! So check your receipts and make sure you didn't get overcharged!!
