GreatFun, Greatfunonline.com, Greatfunsite.com, Trilegiant Corp Great Fun scam a total rip-off

When we received our credit statement in Sept 07, we noticed a charge of $12.99 for something called Great Fun. After trying to figure out where it came from, we could only surmise that somehow, when my husband was making car rental arrangements online in Aug that he must have clicked on something unintentionally signing up for this. He contacted them and cancelled with them, or so we thought.

No more charges appeared the following months, but then, when we received our statement in Dec., there was that $12.99 charge for Great Fun again, dated 26 Nov.

This time when my husband called them on 3 Dec 07, he spoke with Rose, requested that they cancel the "membership", and refund our money. He was given a cancellation code and told that the charges would be removed but that it might take up to 60 days.

I just happened to check our "current activity" on that credit card a couple of days later on 5 Dec 07 and found that they had made another $12.99 charge dated 3 Dec the day my husband called to request cancellation. I then called them, told Michelle about my husband's call, the additional charge rather than a refund, and requested both charges be refunded. I was told I'd have to fax them a copy of our statement showing the charges in order to have the money refunded. I was given the fax number and told to send it attn Executive support. This I did but I marked out all personal info that didn't relate to their charges.

When I checked our acct again a few days later, they had refunded one of the $12.99 charges, but not both. I will be writing them this time to see if we can get our money refunded as phone calls do not seem to be very productive.
