First-Time Customer Treated Horribly

As first-time customers, we ordered 1 medium pizza and 2 subs to pick-up and were told it would be 30 minutes. Since it was a Friday night, we waited at least 35 minutes to arrive, but when we got there, we were told it would be 7 more minutes.

Instead, the wait turned in 25 MORE minutes, and we finally got our food without so much as an apology or even a mumbled thank-you. I told the man who handed us our food how upset I was at the length of time it took and he got a terribly defensive attitude with me. He said very sharply, "Look around - it's a Friday night, do you see all these orders? It just takes a long time so deal with it."

I couldn't believe his abusive reaction, especially in front of a fellow customer and employees, I explained we'd been misled about the time, and if they'd told us a reasonable time in the first place, we'd have known what to expect instead of standing around for so long. I then walked out telling him that I'd have appreciated even a simple apology, as long as I didn't feel like my business was causing him a problem. I also told him that we were first-time customers and, unfortunately, it would be our last visit. I could not believe how terrible everyone's attitude was who worked there. Another employee even implied that we were lying about being told it initially would have been 7 more minutes and said we'd actually been told it would have been 15 more minutes.
