Says one thing does another, Liars, big ripoff

Back in March 07 I called Pizza hut to see what was on sale, since i just got coupons in the mail. They told me, and i asked the man if i could use my coupon, and he said "certainly".

When we all made up our minds to what we wanted, I called back to order, told them what i wanted then told the man i had a two dollar off coupon, and he told me "you can't use that on a sale item".

I informed him that the guy i called before told me that by all means I can use it, then he proceeded to tell me in exact words, "That's too bad, I'm the manager and I run the place".

I called Pizza hut's central office, gave my address and told them what happened, they were very apologetic, and told me I should hear from them within a week, and that's not how they run their business.

Two months have passed by, and I have not heard one word from them. I find it strange that they are willing to ignore me and lose a customer over two dollars.

The sad part is that the central office never ever contacted me, I think that the manager was very very rude, and I will never go to either Pizza hut, Kentucky Fried Chicken or Taco Bell again.

I actually wonder if the man who was so rude to me was really the manager, as I have been managing retail stores now for quite a few years, and i would never ever treat a customer like that.

I fully understand that they may have rules about coupons on sale items, but I did ask first and was told certainly that i may use it on the sale item. This is not my fault that his employee made a mistake, and i hope that two lousy dollars was worth losing a customer.
