Ripoff refusal of paycheck too busy is the excuse

For the last three pay periods (bi-weekly) I have been refused my paycheck. When I go into the bussiness to pick up my check I ask for it and I am told that they are just too busy.

Our paychecks are in on Tuesday but we cannot pick them up until Wednesday ever other week. On a Wednesday I go to to my place of employment around 3:30pm after picking up the kids from school. When I am refused because they are too busy I find two tickets hanging up and no customers in the dinning room and all employees standing around or in the office talking.

If they are too busy how do they find the time to just stand around or sit and talk? And when I'm telling the employee that greets me that I need my check because I have things that I need to pay with it, why cant they just bend over and open up the safe? It would be much quicker to open the safe and hand it to me, then having a conversation with me and still no check.

On those Wednesdays when I am refused I am not happy about it. I come back to work on a Friday around 4:00pm and still am told that they are too busy. This particular Friday there were one dine in table of 3 customers and 2 or 3 tickets hanging up for carry-out service. Still no one working. But amazingly enough, still too busy to hand me my check.

On a different Friday night, I was at work. We had a busy night that night and when it calmed down I asked for my check. My General Manager told me that the safe locks up at 9:00pm and will not open untill the next morning.

I had to work night shift two days later. It was around 9:30pm when I asked for my check. The Manager that was working that night opened up the safe and handed me my check. Hmmm... Thought it couldnt open till the next morning??!! Did my General Manager lie to me?

I get payed again this Wednesday. Lets hope that I recieve my check when I ask for it this time.
