Dave's Ribs Hickory Smoked BBQ
Ripoff, disrepectful, overcharging, no reasoning with the owner, treated poorly

I had ordered a smoked turkey from Dave's Ribs because I had alot of people to cook for and was told doing this would save me some time. So I went down and asked for a 10 lb turkey, because the man who took my order said it would be good to have that size for the amount of people who I was entertaining. I was told I needed to put a deposit down and it was $4.95 a pound. So I payed $30 and was told that it might be a little over.

I had sent someone to pick the turkey up since I was cooking all the sides. When the turkey came to my house I thought it was a little small for 10lbs. Then I was told that who picked it up had to pay an additional $40 for the turkey. I then weighed the turkey and it was 8lbs with the tin, with all the grease drippings.

I then called Daves ribs and was put throught to the owner Dave. It was the most rude and disrespectful conversation I have ever had with the owner of a business. He told me that I should know that a turkey looses 2 to 3lbs when it cooks. I said that I should have been informed of that when I had ordered the turkey. I expected to pick up a 14lb turkey if thats what I had paid for, not to mention if it was a 14lb turkey, how did it loose 6lbs. He spoke in a very harsh and rude tone, telling me then I should have asked questions because everyone knows that. There was no sympathy when I told him that I was counting on this to feed a certain amount of people and that I was very upset. Not once did he say "Is there anything I can do"... There was just no care what-so-ever.

Since the conversation was going no where besides me getting upset to the point of crying I told Dave that I would never use there business again and would tell everyone about the bad experience. He proceeded to tell me "Good than you go do that, I think that is a great idea."... So not to mention how upset I was, there was no justice on my part and I am writing this in hopes that everyone knows what a bad business Dave's Ribs is.
