Il Fornaio
In... Don't eat there!

I took my girlfriend to eat at Il Fornaio. The restaurant was empty (a good sign of bad food and/or service) but it still took the slothful waitstaff ten minutes to seat us.

When we were finally seated, it took ten more minutes to get menus. When we got menus the manager showed up to ask us what the problem was. I don't know if he was on drugs or what, but he was mighty confrontational for such a little guy.

I ordered rigatoni with meat sauce. I got four pieces of rigatoni and the meat sauce smelled like cat food. I am tempted whenever I feed my cats to sample their food to see if it tastes like Il fornaio also.

We could have had a similar experience by eating cold Chef Boy-ar-dee from a can at the bus station. Don't eat at Il Fornaio.
