Suggested Tip Percentage

The Applebee's in Times Sq, NYC, besides being super expensive, adds a (suggested) gratuity to the check. They calculate 17% of your bill AFTER adding the taxes. Although complaining to the waitress (she promised to relate it to the manager), I agreed to pay the full amount. I'm sure most customers, especially tourists, just pay the amount w/o asking questions. Applebee's should be reported to the Consumer Complaint Agency. Maybe I was kind to her because, besides not being her fault, I forced myself to finish the $15 alcoholic beverage I had!
