Sallie Mae is not only just a rip off, but their lack of education and experience with customers is unreal. I started my PH D program with Walden University on September 6th. As of today, September 29th I have still not recieved my financial aid refund from Sallie Mae, (EVEN THOUGH THE FEDERAL DEADLINE BY THE GOVERNMENT IS TODAY, EXACTLY 14 DAYS AFTER DISBURSEMENT) I had a representative tell me to shut up and stop over talking her. After that I spoke to a supervisor named Mike at the Kansas City call center who in so many words told me there is nothing they can do because they are short on qualified staff. How ridiculous!!! I'm filing a formal complaint because I don't believe Sallie Mae is capable of handling federal money.
