Business & Finance

I would like to report that has of Oct, Summit Bank of Arlington, TX, officially snowballed me for $224! I had an account with this bank for 6 months and I regularly deposited my paycheck with them every week. One Friday in Oct I deposited my check and asked the tell if I used any of the money in the account, would it clear and he told that it would not be a problem. So, I had 4 different transactions that all totalled $17.00.

I checked my bank account the following Tuesday only to find that I had been charged $28.00 for each transaction!!! That in turn raped my account which caused more transactions to get charged $28.00 and when it was all said and done I had to pay them the money and close the account! This was after a $224 loss! I emailed the person charge of the bank and all I got was an automatic reply saying that I should talk to someone else! I went to the bank and to talk to them and all that they told me is that I needed to email the same person in order to straighten it out! What service!!!? This bank was going to charge me $28.00 for a. 45 cent transaction!!! How insane?!!!

I never write checks, I only use a debit card. I have never been charged fees for going over just a little, and I have never seen such a greedy entity such a Summit Bank! I also did all of my bill pay and banking online which makes this even worse! On top of this, even though I payed the account out and closed it, they still posted NON SUFFICIENT FUNDS to my credit report! I will gladly go back to licking envelopes and buying stamps! HOW DID BANKS GET THIS MUCH POWER??? I hope that no one else ever has to experience the fraudulent deceptive and malicious practices that this bank uses!
