Horrible company - Meemic Insurance

Horrible experience with Meemic Insurance. I had problems from day one. First, when I started up the policy it was a higher premium than what I was quoted. Next, they neglected to send either of my policies over to my mortgage and car loan companies. Finally after many calls back & forth I got it straightened out. Then after over a month of my policy starting I get a certified letter saying that they were cancelling my home insurance. No explanantion, just we're dropping you. I called to find out why and the agent was on vacation so I had to wait a week for a return call. I found out that I had 30 days (now less than that because of the agent's vacation) to re-roof and paint the garage and paint some basement windows. I asked for an extension since a new roof costs as much as my monthly income and was told that even though by law they can grant up to 55 days, they would not give me an extension. We had to charge the materials and find someone to roof it for CHEAP. Luckily a relative was able to do it. When I sent the pictures over they agreed to reinstate the policy, but now at a HIGHER premium again. This company is extrememly shady.
